Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs) are New South Wales Government statutory authorities reporting to the Minister for Climate Change, Environment and Water.

13 CMAs were established in 2004, during major NSW natural resource management reforms.

Funded by the Australian and NSW governments, CMAs are responsible for coordinating the planning and implementation of natural resource management at a regional level.

The Great Eastern Ranges Initiative works with CMAs to help achieve delivery of a range of integrated on-ground conservation outcomes, linking landscapes and ecosystems in the Great Eastern Ranges.

The Great Eastern Ranges corridor extends across the boundaries of 6 CMAs.
