A landmark “proof of concept” report that reviews the scientific basis for establishing a conservation corridor along the Great Eastern Ranges from the Australian Alps to Atherton and beyond, has been released this week.

The independent report was commission by the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (NSW) on behalf of an interstate agency working group. The authors of the report hope that the Great Eastern Ranges corridor’s bold scope will inspire all landowners and managers to contribute to voluntary conservation efforts in a coordinated way and help build public support for biodiversity conservation.
