Less than 1 hour south of Sydney the Southern Highlands and Capital Country regions begin, covering an area including the Southern Highlands in the north, Young and Crookwell in the west and Canberra in the south.
Characterised by rolling green hills and dramatic waterfalls, the Southern Highlands and Capital Country are regions of everchanging landscapes, from rolling vineyards to the ancient rainforest of Penance Grove near Braidwood.
