Discovery Walks, Talks and Tours Program

The Chase Alive Experience celebrates 20 years of the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park Discovery program
The Discovery program of walks, talks and tours, developed and led by specialist rangers, is designed to help you and your family learn more about the environment. You can choose to:
- learn about bush tucker, bush medicine and bush safety
- participate in spotlight walks to discover the world of nocturnal wildlife
- hear nighttime poetry and spooky stories bring historic sites to life
- take a canoe tour exploring estuaries and freshwater rivers
- snorkel through Marine Parks and learn about fragile dune systemsÂ
- take off on botanical and geological tours and tag-along 4WD tours
- learn about Aboriginal culture and tradition with Aboriginal people conducting guided tours in parks and reserves.
Groups
Tours and activities can be tailored to suit the needs for any group including conference groups school groups and social clubs.
Enquiries and Bookings
Discovery walks, talks and tours run throughout the year and there are many activities for kids and families available during school holidays. Discovery tours have limited numbers, so bookings are essential. Go to the Discovery Walks, Talks and Tours website or enquire at individual National Parks offices for details.
Commercial Tours
Taking part in a commercial tour is a great way to get the most out of your visit to a National Park. Many accredited NSW tour operators conduct a variety of tours in National Parks, including coach and bus tours, cultural tours, outdoor education activities, bushwalking, camping, 4WD, rockclimbing and abseiling, cross-country skiing, orienteering, wildlife observation, horse riding, fitness training and surfing.
