The Grand Pacific Drive starts just south of Sydney in the royal National Park and travels approximately 140km south through the Illawarra Region and the towns of Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama and ending in the Shoalhaven Region. Whilst the drive can easily be done in a day, there is plenty to see and do along this coastal route.

  • Take in a bushwalk along many of the walking tracks and National Parks along the way
  • Stop at Bald Hill lookout for spectacular views from Stanwell Tops to Wollongong
  • enjoy many of the fine restaurants and accommodation providers
  • extend your trip to take in the Southern Highlands Region or travel further south into the South Coast Region. These can easily be added to make your journey a round trip returning to Sydney via a different route
