A landmark “proof of concept” report that reviews the scientific basis for establishing a conservation corridor along the Great Eastern Ranges from the Australian Alps to Atherton and beyond, has been released.

The independent report was commission by the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (NSW) on behalf of an interstate agency working group. The authors of the report hope that the Great Eastern Ranges corridor’s bold scope will inspire all landowners and managers to contribute to voluntary conservation efforts in a coordinated way and help build public support for biodiversity conservation.

Alliance Grant Applications

  • Caring for our Country (2010)

The Border Ranges Alliance application to Caring for our Country (2010) was submitted in April 2010. It describes an exciting project that if successful would see some fantastic outcomes for the forests of the Border Ranges region. The project involves private landholders in collaborative corridor projects to improve ecological connectivity of Gondwana World Heritage Areas in the Border Ranges region of NSW & Qld. The $1.5 million project would run over three years.
