THE NATURE CONSERVANCY AUSTRALIA NATURE WRITING PRIZE

When: 30th September 2010

What: A biennial national prize of $5000, awarded for an essay between 3000 and 5000 words set within an Australia landscape and exploring the author's sense of 'place'. Judged by literary journalist, Sally Blakeney and poet and nature writer, Mark Tredinnick.

‘Stories’ of Northern Region Bush Regeneration Projects - AABR

When: Sunday 17th October

What: The Northern NSW/ SEQ regional group of AABR (Australian Association of Bush Regenerators) will be holding an event with a difference this year. AABR will host a two-hour showcase of 8 (10 minute) Powerpoint presentations of some of the many exciting bush regeneration projects being carried out in the region – for the interest of all managers and restorationists. Following this, there will be a short guided walk around the venue.
