The Great Eastern Ranges corridor is facing a number of major threats. Often these different pressures interact with each other, exacerbating their overall impact. Conservation efforts, therefore, need to take a multi-faceted approach; protecting intact natural areas from harm, whilst repairing the damage already done to others.
The Great Eastern Ranges Initiative (GER) works with a range of people from many different groups, including landholders, Traditional Owners, government, industry, scientists and community groups, to protect and restore environmental values across the landscape and to address the threats facing the GER corridor.
